Centre for OBE Implementation and NBA accreditation (COINA)
The Centre for OBE Implementation and NBA accreditation (COINA) was established on March 2023. The centre was established with the intension of Implementation of Outcome Based Education (OBE) philosophy across various Schools and Departments of Anjuman-1-Islam’s Kalsekar Technical Campus of AIKTC.
Objectives and SOP of COINA
- Implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE):
- Develop and implement curriculum frameworks and teaching methodologies aligned with OBE principles.
- Train faculty members on OBE concepts, pedagogy, and assessment methods.
- Establish processes for defining learning outcomes, mapping curriculum, and assessing student achievement.
- Facilitation of NBA Accreditation:
- Provide guidance and support to departments in preparing for NBA accreditation processes and criteria.
- Assist in documentation preparation, data collection, and evidence gathering required for accreditation.
- Conduct internal audits and mock assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure readiness for accreditation visits.
- Continuous Improvement and Quality Enhancement:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality enhancement within the institution.
- Collect and analyze data on student learning outcomes, program effectiveness, and stakeholder feedback to inform decision-making and improvement initiatives.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to solicit input from stakeholders, including students, faculty, employers, and alumni.
- Enhancement of Institutional Reputation and Recognition:
- Work towards achieving and maintaining accreditation status for engineering programs, which enhances the institution’s reputation and credibility.
- Promote transparency and accountability in educational processes and outcomes to build trust with stakeholders.
- Showcase success stories, achievements, and notable outcomes resulting from OBE implementation and accreditation efforts.
