Third-year students of the CSE (AIML) Department, School of Engineering and Technology (SOET) – Shaikh Nabeel Ahmed, Reyan Tausalkar, Chougule Uzair, and Khan Nureen – secured the Second Runner-up position at the National-level Innovation Competition “Creathon: Ideas in Motion, Futures in Creation” organized by Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College.
Their innovative project “WiChain – WiFi Spoof Detection” addresses a critical security issue in today’s digital era. The project detects suspicious or fake WiFi networks and alerts users, thereby helping to prevent cyberattacks and data theft. The idea was highly appreciated by the jury, earning the team a cash prize of ₹10,000.
The success was praised by Dr. Zahir I. Kazi (Padma Awardee, President, Anjuman-I-Islam Kalsekar Technical Campus), Mr. Burhan Harris (Executive Chairman, BINM), Dr. Ramzan Khateek (Director, AIKTC), and Dr. Rajendra Magar (Principal, SOET), who congratulated the students for their innovation, technical skills, and hard work, and wished them continued success in the future.
Dr. Salim Shaikh (Head of Department, CSE-AIML) and Prof. Vishal Gotarne (Project Mentor) expressed pride in the students’ teamwork, project presentation, and achievement, encouraging them for further progress.
This remarkable accomplishment reflects the excellence and commitment to innovation, academics, and research upheld by the CSE (AIML) Department and AIKTC.
