Final-year students visited the Pharmacy Department at MGM Hospital, Kalamboli, today, under the guidance of Dr. Gaurav Patil (Pharm. D), a Clinical Pharmacologist in the department. During the visit, students gained practical exposure to both in-patient and outpatient (OPD) pharmacy operations. The primary objective was to familiarize them with the ethical practices involved in drug storage and the distribution of various categories of medications, including LASA (Look-Alike, Sound-Alike) drugs, Schedule H drugs, high-risk and emergency drugs, and parenteral formulations.
