MGM Hospital visit to Pharmacy Department

On 15/10/2025, As part of the CBS activity, our final-year students visited the Pharmacy Department of MGM Hospital, Kamothe, under the guidance of Dr Harshvardhan Sapkal and Dr Snehal, Clinical Pharmacologists. During the visit, students gained valuable practical exposure to both in-patient (IP) and out-patient (OPD) pharmacy operations, including aspects of inventory management. The primary objective of the visit was to familiarise the students with ethical practices in drug storage and distribution, focusing on various categories of medications such as LASA (Look-Alike, Sound-Alike) drugs, Schedule H drugs, high-risk and emergency drugs, and parenteral formulations.

This visit healped students to correlate their theoretical knowledge with hospital practices. I extend my sincere thanks to the Dean, Sir, for permitting this educational visit and to Prof. Tabrez for accompanying with the students.
