The School of Pharmacy IIC and Pharmacy Incubation cell organized a Design Thinking Workshop for Third Year B. Pharmacy students. The session was conducted by Dr. Shariq Syed, Dean, School of Pharmacy, AIKTC.
Dr. Syed introduced students to the principles of design thinking and emphasized the importance of innovation in healthcare and pharmaceutical sciences. He explained the five stages of design thinking—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test—and demonstrated how these steps help in solving real-world healthcare challenges.
The workshop included practical examples from pharmaceutical product development and healthcare innovation, encouraging students to adopt a user-centric approach while identifying and solving problems. Students actively participated in brainstorming activities and collaborative discussions to generate innovative solutions.
The session concluded with a motivational message encouraging students to develop creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and entrepreneurial mindsets for their future professional careers.
Beneficiaries: Third Year B.Pharmacy Students (Approximately 60)
Outcome: The workshop enhanced students' understanding of design thinking, innovation, and creative problem-solving, preparing them for future research, entrepreneurship, and professional practice.
