The event started with Dr. Varsha Pawar (Asst. Prof, Dept. of HAS, AIKTC) welcoming the Resource person Dr. Ismail Shaikh, faculties and staff. Dr. Ismail Shaikh started the training on First Aid by sharing the basics such as importance and scope of first aid, assessing the situation and ensuring personal safety. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). He also gave a brief description of how to do wound care and bandaging, managing fractures and sprains, dealing with burns and scalds and handling choking incidents. The seminar included interactive sessions where participants could practice CPR on mannequins, and apply bandages. He also elaborated on the First Aid to be given in situations like snake bite, low blood pressure and do and don’ts in such situations. A dedicated Q&A session enabled participants to clarify doubts and seek expert advice on various aspects of first aid. The outcome of the session is the participants gained a thorough understanding of basic and advanced first aid procedures. Hands-on practice sessions improved the practical application of first aid techniques. The training helped participants build confidence in their ability to handle emergency situations effectively. The event ended with the address of Dr. Ramjan Khatik (Director, AIKTC) and Mr. Yusuf Mulla delivering the formal vote of thanks.
