Description: Report on Medical Health check-up camp at Gram Panchayat Office, Palaspe held on 24th October 2024 at Palaspe Village. Attendees: NSS Program officer Prof Ziyaul Haque and NSS members- Prof Tabrez Khan, Dr Maryam Qureshi; Dr Ismail Shaikh; S.Y and T.Y B. Pharm students In celebration of National Pharmacy Week, the AIKTC School of Pharmacy, in collaboration with NSS, UBA, Youth Red Cross, and Rotaract of AIKTC, organized a successful General Health Checkup Camp at Palaspe Village on October 24th, 2024. Dr. Ismail Shaikh conducted patient assessments, while students assisted by measuring BMI, blood sugar, and blood pressure. Free medications were also provided to patients. A significant number of patients were found to have hypertension and diabetes, and those with more advanced conditions were referred for comprehensive checkups. Our dedicated healthcare team not only provided essential health services but also promoted awareness of preventive health measures. The growing prevalence of these lifestyle-related conditions highlights the importance of public awareness to help prevent complications. This health camp offered students a hands-on experience of the societal impact of disease burden and highlighted the role of healthcare professionals in addressing these challenges. It was a valuable learning opportunity that emphasized practical solutions to health issues within the community.
