NSS 7 days residential camp report – Day 1

As part of an NSS initiative, a 7-day NSS residential camp was organized from December 30, 2024, to January 5, 2025, at Tara village, located 19 km from AIKTC Panvel, beyond the Karnala Bird Sanctuary. The camp saw the participation of 50 third-year students and was coordinated by NSS Program Officer Prof. Ziya-Ul-Haque, along with NSS coordinators Prof. Tabrez and Dr. Maryam. The event received continuous support from Mr. Yusuf Mulla throughout.

The camp commenced on December 30, 2024, in the presence of Prof Ziya, Prof Tabrez, Mr Yusuf Mulla and Prof. Vaishali Chavhan with 50 students. On the first day, students visited the Karnala Bird Sanctuary, where they learned about its historical significance as one of Panvel's oldest tourist attractions. Later the students were engaged in activities such as birdwatching and tracking. These activities fostered a spirit of teamwork, mutual support, and a deeper understanding of the connection between society and nature. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, making it both educational and memorable.
