NSS 7 days residential camp report- Day 4

On January 2, 2025, the fourth day of the seven-day residential camp at Tara Village took place, with the participation of 50 third-year students. The camp was coordinated by Prof. Ziya, Prof. Tabrez, Mr. Yusuf Mulla, and Lecturer Annie Mathew. The highlight of the day was an awareness session on cyber security, delivered by Mr. Gaurav Ingole, Senior Police Inspector. Addressing school students, he covered critical topics such as malware websites with misleading links, fraudulent calls and OTP scams, cyber fraud and blackmail, and fake profiles on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and certain apps like ShareChat that can compromise cellphone security. To stress the importance of cyber safety, Mr. Ingole shared real-life cases from his professional experience, illustrating how technological advancements and their misuse can easily mislead young minds. The session provided students with valuable insights into recognizing and avoiding cyber threats, leaving them with a deeper understanding of the importance of staying vigilant online.
