NSS 7 days residential camp report- Day 5

On January 3, 2025, the fifth day of the seven-day residential camp at Tara Village took place, featuring the participation of 50 third-year students. The camp was coordinated by Prof. Ziya, Prof. Tabrez, Mr. Yusuf Mulla and Dr Maryam Qureshi.

The day’s activities focused on waste management, a cleanliness drive, tree plantation, and raising awareness about personal hygiene. Mr. Anil kokre, Arogya Vibhag pramukh from the Health Department of Panvel Mahanagar Palika, was the guest speaker for the session. He highlighted the health risks associated with improper waste disposal and the importance of maintaining a clean environment. Mr. Pravin also addressed how diseases stemming from poor hygiene and waste mismanagement can significantly impact public health. The session educated students on the importance of personal hygiene, cleanliness, and proper waste management practices. The day was both engaging and educational, combining hands-on activities with valuable lessons on environmental and health awareness.
