The NSS Unit SE-32 of Anjuman-I-Islam's Kalsekar Technical Campus (AIKTC), New Panvel, in collaboration with the Panvel Doctors General Practitioner Association (DGPA), successfully organized the Van Mahotsav – 'Paalvi' Tree Plantation Drive on 05 July 2026 at 7:30 AM on the AIKTC campus.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from campus dignitaries, faculty members, NSS volunteers, DLLE volunteers, students, and more than 35 doctors from the Panvel Doctors General Practitioner Association (DGPA). The event was organized to promote environmental sustainability, enhance the green cover of the campus, and create awareness about the importance of tree plantation for a healthier and greener future.
A total of 60 saplings comprising indigenous and ornamental plant species were planted across the AIKTC campus. The event was conducted under the theme "Let's Plant Hope, Let's Grow Together" and highlighted the message "Ek Rop Aarogyasathi" (One Tree for Better Health).
Under the guidance of Dr. Vaibhav Mokal, President of the Panvel Doctors General Practitioner Association (DGPA), and Dr. Ramjan Khatik, Director, AIKTC, all participants took a pledge to protect and nurture the planted saplings, reaffirming their commitment towards environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to all the dignitaries, 35+ participating doctors, faculty members, NSS volunteers, students, and the collaborating organization for their wholehearted support and active participation in making the Van Mahotsav – 'Paalvi' Tree Plantation Drive 2026 a grand success. The successful plantation of 60 saplings marked another significant step towards creating a greener, healthier, and more sustainable campus environment.
