Anjuman-I- Islam’s Kalsekar Technical Campus hosted a vibrant Pharmacist Week event, aiming to promote health, awareness, and community engagement. The event spanned four days, featuring diverse activities and competitions, health camps, and social initiatives. The event commenced with the exciting unrolling of posters, setting the stage for a week filled with informative activities. Two competitions took center stage: a creative logo-making contest on T-shirts, video making competition and a Healthy Food Stalls competition, encouraging students to explore their culinary skills and promote nutritious eating habits. The second day was dedicated to community health and well-being. Various health camps were set up, providing essential services to attendees. These included bone density check-ups, eye examinations, a typhoid vaccination camp, women's health check-ups, general health check-ups, and dental examinations. Additionally, a blood donation camp in collaboration with Red Cross Society was organized, exemplifying the spirit of giving back to society.
The third day of the event was marked by a student rally led by the SY students, raising awareness about dengue and its prevention. Simultaneously, final year students visited hospitals, gaining practical insights into pharmaceutical practices. A heartwarming Barapada camp was set up, where multi-specialty camp was organized was a sterling example of collaborative efforts leading to significant community benefits. The final day event was marked with Heckmed competition and expert talk on clinical management of Diabetes. The Pharmacist Week event at Anjuman I Islam Kalsekar Technical Campus proved to be a holistic approach to healthcare and community welfare. By combining educational competitions, health camps, and social initiatives, the event not only empowered the students with knowledge and skills but also emphasized the importance of giving back to the community. Through these efforts, the event not only educated but also inspired, making a significant impact on both the participants and the society they serve.
