The School of Pharmacy at Kalasekar Technical Campus, Panvel, celebrated World Pharmacist Day 2024 on 25th September by hosting a Multi-Specialty Health Camp, blood donation drive, and herbal tree plantation in collaboration with industry partners. Centered on the theme Pharmacists: Meeting Global Health Needs, the event offered free healthcare services to the local community. Dr. Sanjay Gude, Assistant Superintendent of Dr. Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Sub District Hospital, Panvel, was the Chief Guest, underscoring the important role of pharmacists in healthcare. Services at the camp included ECGs, diabetes and thyroid screenings, women’s health checkups, asthma evaluations, mental health support, and nutritional guidance. Collaborators included Metropolis, Cipla, Alembic, the Youth Red Cross Maharashtra, and AIKTC’s NSS unit, ensuring the event’s success. Event Lead coordinator Prof. Saba Shaikh and Prof. Tabreskhan Pathan along with various faculty coordinators, staff members and volunteers have played a pivotal role in organizing this event. This program was conducted under the able leadership of President of Anjuman-I-Islam Dr. Zaheer I Qazi (Padma Awardee), Executive Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Navi Mumbai Mr. Burhan Haris, Campus Director Dr. Ramjan Khatik, Dean of School of Pharmacy Dr. Shariq Syed, HOD of D Pharmacy Dr. Shaikh Abusufyan.
