The Bridgeit competition, renowned for testing structural ingenuity, brought together some of the brightest minds in engineering. With a total cash prize of Rs. 50,000, the event challenged participants to design and construct a structurally efficient bridge using only pop sticks and glue—without any external support.
Each bridge underwent rigorous testing, with a central load applied to assess its load-bearing capacity and structural integrity. Among 29 competing teams, AIKTC’s exceptional team—Umear Khalil Chougle, Sahil Khairu Shaikh, Bilal Patel, and Mohammed Tabrez—emerged victorious. Their meticulously designed bridge withstood an impressive maximum load of 28.38 kg, securing them first place at the prestigious AAKAAR 17 venue, IIT Bombay, Powai. This remarkable achievement was made possible under the expert guidance of Prof. Tehsin Kazi, along with the esteemed faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department.
This success reaffirms AIKTC’s dominance in structural engineering competitions, showcasing the team’s expertise, creativity, and technical prowess. The event stood as a true testament to engineering excellence, pushing the boundaries of innovation in bridge construction.
