The ConquerIT competition at AAKAAR 2025 pushed the boundaries of innovation in concrete technology, challenging participants to develop lightweight concrete using advanced lightweight aggregates. The objective was to achieve minimal density while optimizing compressive and flexural strength, striking a balance between durability and sustainability. With a total cash prize of Rs. 25,000, the competition drew some of the most talented minds in civil engineering.
The AIKTC team, consisting of Shaikh Mohammad Faisal, Chouhan Mohammad Faizan, Siddiqui Mohd Abdul Kareem, and Sayyed Mubeen Moazzam, demonstrated exceptional expertise, securing a commendable 3rd place. Their innovative concrete mix formulation showcased a perfect balance between strength and sustainability, reinforcing their technical prowess in materials engineering.
The second runners-up proudly posed with their certificates and trophy at the AAKAAR 17 venue, IIT Bombay, Powai, celebrating their remarkable achievement. Their success was guided by the expert mentorship of Dada Patil and Prof. Irfan Shaikh, with invaluable support from the distinguished faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department.
